Stenso lettering card package.

It's a little ripped up, but look how excited that boy is about lettering! I'll put a scan of the Stenso lettering card itself up here soon. You know you can't wait!

I don't know where this hotel is, or where I got this postcard. I am going to assume that Devlin gave it to me. Look at that banquet hall!

Horrendous Crash...

The front of a box for a Unisonic Dukes of Hazzard digital watch. I cannot remember if this watch plays "Dixie" or not, but it totally should. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that it does not. A scan of the contents of this box is forthcoming.

Japanese Beer Ad

Ad for Sapporo Fine Lager from the back cover of a manga magazine. I remember the magazine had a manga about billiards that was WAY more intense than any comic about billiards has any right to be. LOTS of motion lines.

Playtime Records 309-PV

Not that anyone is probably reading any of this at all, but I'm taking a break from the Lowery Collection for a bit. There are still plenty of anatomical insect drawings to come, though, so don't get too worried if you're into that kind of thing. You should, by the way, be totally into that kind of thing.

The Lowery Collection, Part I: Order Hemiptera

Recently I went to an estate sale, and I purchased some decent stuff. An empty Bubble-Up soda bottle, a Niagara Falls souvenir coffee mug, some old sheet music, but the best thing I got there was in the "Free" box. Always look in the "Free" box. This box contained the college notebooks of the man whose estate was for sale, H.C. Lowery. In one of the notebooks was (and still is) a series of anatomical insect drawings from 1947 when, from what I can tell from surrounding evidence, Mr. Lowery was a student at the University of Georgia. Over the next few days, I will be posting these drawings here. If you are (or know someone who is) a family member of H.C. Lowery, formerly of Athens, GA, and would like to have these drawings, please contact me by leaving a comment. I will give them to you. Until then, they are safe.

Bumper sticker from the Gay Dolphin Gift Cove in Myrtle Beach, SC. I re-colored this one because my scanner doesn't like fluorescent colors. I am not too good at the photo-editing software.

Nation's Largest Gift Shop

Bumper sticker from the Gay Dolphin Gift Cove in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. One of the best place I have ever been. I re-touched and partially re-colored this image because my scanner does not do well with fluorescent colors. I probably did not do a very good job. For more information on the Gay Dolphin, visit their website.

Postcard with photos of the "Golf of Mexico" indoor miniature golf course at South of the Border. Sadly, the building in which this golf course was located is now a store that sells concrete yard art, though all the miniature golf holes are still there. They just have hundreds of concrete statues all over them.
